Dear Parents/Carers
COVID Cases in Wenlock and Transport Route Three – UPDATED GUIDANCE
We have been made aware that there have been positive cases of COVID confirmed within Wenlock Class and Transport Route 3. Your child has been identified as a close contact through our contract tracing measures.
Following further developments this morning, I have been in liaison with Public Health and they have updated their guidance. They are now asking that all pupils in Wenlock and on Transport Route 3 self-isolate at home and parents arrange for a PCR test to be done. You can arrange a PCR test via this link https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing/get-tested-for-coronavirus/. When the online form asks for the reason for taking a test, please choose the option “I’ve been told to get a test by my local council, health protection team or healthcare professional”.
Pupils can return to school once you have sent evidence of a negative test via email to headteacher@westminster.sandwell.sch.uk.
If your child is unable to tolerate a PCR test, they will need to isolate at home until Wednesday 6 October. They can return to school on Thursday 7 October 2021.
If your child’s PCR test comes back positive, please ring the School on 0121 561 6884.
If you have any queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the School.
Yours faithfully
O M Flowers
Head Teacher
