Transition & New Pupils
If a child or young person has been offered a place at The Westminster School, we will contact parents/carers and the child’s/young person’s current school in regard to transition arrangements in order for us to best help support them. It is important that we get to know the child or young person as fully as possible and will make arrangements to visit them in their current school, at home and/or invite them to come to our transition days. We will also contact the child, young person’s current school to find out further information such as information on medical needs, speech and language support, behaviour and care plans and any specialist equipment or access needed before they start with us.
Typical transition days would look like the following and it would be beneficial for the child or young person to attend all sessions:

Due to the current pandemic transition may a look a little different and we may have to make some adjustments to our usual transition process. However, this will be communicated to all parents/carers and schools.
