Dear Parents and Carers
As you will be aware, towards the end of last academic year our friends from Ofsted came to inspect our school. We are proud to be able to share the report with you, please see the link below. Four out of the five areas were deemed to be Outstanding which is testimony to the hard work and dedication of the whole school community. Although it came at a difficult time after a busy year, everyone was fantastic.
One of the highlights of the report relates to our students:
“The behaviour of pupils is exemplary. This is because everyone in this school treats each other with kindness.”
We are lucky to have an incredible team of staff which was identified by the inspection team and commented on in the final report.
“The staff team has an unwavering commitment to the school. Everyone wants to provide the best education they can for the pupils.”
We are immensely proud of our curriculum development in the short time since our last inspection. We addressed all the development points from our last inspection in March 2023 relating to phonics, reading and key knowledge. We have one small target area remaining from our July 2024 inspection relating to our Foundation Subjects, specifically History and Geography, which we have already implemented at the start of this academic year. As this development of our Foundation Subjects was yet to be realised and implemented this changed our Quality of Education judgement. This was detailed thoroughly in our School Development Plan and we look forward to being able to update you as this year progresses as we begin to embed the curriculum.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who was involved in the inspection from governors, leaders, teachers, parents and our students.
The Westminster School – Open – Find an Inspection Report – Ofsted
Yours faithfully
