Dear Parents/Carers
COVID Cases On Transport Route 2
We have been made aware that there have been positive cases of COVID confirmed within Transport Route 2. Your child has been identified as a close contact through our contract tracing measures.
I have been in liaison with Public Health and they have updated their guidance. They are now asking that all pupils on Transport Route 2 self-isolate at home and parents arrange for a PCR test to be done. You can arrange a PCR test via this link https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing/get-tested-for-coronavirus/. When the online form asks for the reason for taking a test, please choose the option “I’ve been told to get a test by my local council, health protection team or healthcare professional”.
Pupils can return to school once you have sent evidence of a negative test via email to headteacher@westminster.sandwell.sch.uk.
If your child is unable to tolerate a PCR test, they will need to isolate at home until Wednesday 6 October. They can return to school on Thursday 7 October 2021.
If you have an appointment booked for Meet the Teacher tonight, unfortunately pupils will not be able to attend with you as they are required to self-isolate.
